a point for baron

as Dan leaned over to pull on his boxers, Baron goosed him with his cold nose. Is this the punishment for a late morning walk?

contemplative mornings

Baron likes to go sit outside after breakfast, usually in the same spot on the north end of the patio. I wonder what he thinks about.

Zealous flea,
you're about to be a Buddha

happy autumn equinox

I made lamb shanks for dinner to celebrate and it seemed wrong to exclude certain good dogs.

critical time frame has passed

I think that Baron is done worrying about the whereabouts of S&M. Yesterday when he was over here at our house, he was not anxious to leave (until 7pm dinnertime) and seemed totally content. This is opposed to day1 when he constantly wanted to leave to go home to S&M. So who knows. Here he is in the middle of things, being a happy pooch:

the first 16 or so hours...

so S only left yesterday afternoon, so Baron is probably still figuring out that Mr.SS is not coming home soon. He sat by the door for the evening hours, probably thinking that S would be home any minute. At one point Evil D said, "oh Baron, are you looking for Mary?" and Baron gave EvilD the most baleful sad look.

He also spent a lot of time gazing out the front window, looking depressed:

Then went Dan went to taiji, Baron just lay in the back hall. It seemed like he was boycotting the living room.

Anyway, this morning Baron was all smiles! smiley dog wants belly rubs! wants belly rubs with ball in mouth! RUB MY BELLY! he was so happy. So now I think that he's probably a morning-dog. I will test my hypothesis over the next 2 weeks.
